Here at Dyno Don Engines we bring 25 years of experience to the table. In that 25 years, there have been many people call us and ask us to build them an engine becuase they were tired of looking at the DynoDon decal on the rear of the fuel tank of the driver in front of them. We have given many karters track championships with our power plants. Nothing fancy, no special tricks, just plain and simple attention to detail. We are a full machine shop for karting engines. Bridgeport mill that takes care of line boring true to the crank. Angle boring if wanted. Decking the block for proper pop-up. Angle decking if wanted. Cutting heads for more compression. Flycutting heads for big cam valves to clear. Full Dyno service.
This is where Karting began in California. This is a 1957 AlleyCat rear engine racer. It was my first racing kart. When I first began racing this kart I ran against other rear engine karts and won three track championships in a row. Every once in a while I would move up to the "sidewinder" class (The more modern day kart with the engine mounted on the right side) and put a whoppin on them just for kicks. Of course, I would end up taking my engine home in a box with my forst place trophy I might add!!!!
